Description

There are a wide variety of electronic applications in which the use of an electronically variable capacitor (EVC) could be utilized extensively. For example, In AC capacitor start and capacitor run motors, where the efficiency of the motor is directly related to the capacitance value at various speeds. Power factor correction circuits and adjustable LC oscillators are all possible application areas for such a device.

Our current design, which is still in development, consists of a control board with sockets to connect to external SSR boards for the switching. A second version will be sold as an individual, potted module, designed for various frequency ranges of compensation.
