Description

The Dual DDS Daughterboard is a Direct Digital Synthesis board for generating precision sine, triangle, and square waveforms. It was designed to mount underneath the AVR-MT128 Development board that is used as the main RG controller. The original design was completed back in 2010 but was found to have a few hardware-related bugs that will be addressed in the newest revision.

The Existing prototype is functional and has an output frequency range of 0.2 Hz to 20 MHz with two independent channels which can be synchronized. The board outputs sine, triangle, or 50% duty square waves. The new revision will include a digital amplitude adjustment to control output amplitude, along with a better power supply design to remove excess noise that appeared on the signal outputs of the original prototype.
